MBCL

A WIDER PERSPECTIVE

Sep 23, 2022

I love the international MBCL courses, where people meet online in an eco-friendly way. It opens ways of cultivating compassion towards ourselves, each other, and the world at large. Meeting mindfully and heartfully with people from diverse backgrounds, we can reach across the artificial lines drawn between nations, cultures, ethnic groups and religions, and leave behind our outdated stories of us-and-them.

In a wider perspective we find ourselves all in the same boat. Facing multiple crises world-wide, we begin to sense a deep need for compassionate living that is inclusive rather than exclusive, embraces diversity rather than conformism, and serves the whole eco-system rather than an isolated part. Together we can create a safe place to hold our fears, aversions, and desires. Mirroring each other, we can recognise and begin to understand our maladaptive patterns rooted in our individual and collective traumas. Together we can take first steps on a healthier path of forgiving and healing. Together we can inspire each other to become the wiser, compassionate versions of ourselves.

The Mindfulness-Based Compassionate Living (MBCL) programme offers powerful practices to awaken kindness, compassion, joy, and equanimity in our hearts. It is a follow-up training building on MBSR, MBCT, or equivalent course.
